Kombucha Recipe



-Gallon size glass jar or lemonade container (make sure its really clean!!)

-1 gallon of filtered water

-10 Black Tea bags (any kind you like)

-1 cup of white sugar

-1 Scoby


1. Boil water. When boiled, turn off stove. Then add tea bags to steep and add sugar. Stir tea + sugar mixture so it dissolves.

2. Let tea cool to room temperature. (I put mine outside for a few hours, covered)

3. Once cooled, transfer tea to glass container, add the Scoby and cover. 

4. Let ferment in a cooler place without direct light. It usually takes about 15 days but check it in 1 week to see if you like the flavor. The longer it sits, the more bitter it will taste.
